Barling Hall Manor House did not achieve Listed Building status.
The original building is thought to have been demolished in the 1820s after it was accidentally burnt down after a court dinner. The building had:
The present house was erected partly from materials of the old house at Kent's, in North Shoebury. The house was therefore considerably altered and was not considered to be of such local architectural or historic importance to merit local Listing Building status.
